About Shannon

Shannon Aldous was born in Rhode Island and was raised in Cape Coral, Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 1998, and her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2002, where she was a member of the Moot Court team. Shannon has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2002 and began her practice of law in Orlando, Florida, handling workers€™ compensation claims and social security disability claims on behalf of the injured.

In 2003, Shannon began working for Conroy, Simberg, Ganon, Krevans & Abel, P.A., one of the largest insurance defense firms in the State of Florida. She was an Associate for the firm, specializing in workers compensation defense for three years, before making the decision to move to Boone, North Carolina, with her husband, Nathan.

Shannon has been licensed in North Carolina since 2007. She is currently a member of both the North Carolina State Bar and the Florida State Bar. Since moving to Boone, Shannon has been practicing almost exclusively in the field of criminal defense. She opened up her own firm in January 2009, specializing primarily in all types of criminal defense in District and Superior Court, as well as juvenile, child support and civil litigation cases.

Shannon is an experienced defense attorney who understands the traumatic nature of being charged with any crime or being involved in a civil case, and is dedicated to handling every case from the initial consultation through the resolution with compassion and integrity.
